Mutual Commitment. The Employer and the Union are committed to a safe return to work program that addresses the needs of those able to return to work. Return to work programs will recognize the specific needs of each individual employee who participates. Employer creation of a return to work program is voluntary. Consultation Return to work programs will be part of an Approved Rehabilitation Plan under the Long-Term Disability Plan.
Mutual Commitment a) Statement of Mutual Goals AAP and Eastern Oregon University are mutually committed to the aim of providing faculty and librarians with a total compensation package that is competitive with that of comparator universities. EOU and AAP set as our mutual goal to raise this figure by making progressive steps towards increased total compensation for faculty.

Mutual Commitment. For the duration of this Agreement, Swedish Medical Center and the Union desire to work together to ensure the long term stability of Swedish. In order to maximize the ability of employees to work in a stable environment, Swedish Medical Center pledges that it will not seek to reach its financial goals through cyclical layoffs. While this assurance does not restrict the ability of Swedish Medical Center to make changes in programs or services that impact jobs, or layoff employees as a result of an acquisition or merger, it does commit Swedish Medical Center to find means other than cyclical layoffs in order to achieve its financial goals. The Union, Swedish Medical Center and each member of the Swedish Medical Center team, employees and management alike, are fully committed to use their best efforts to provide the highest quality patient care, maintaining a long term sense of security, and ensuring that Swedish Medical Center is the premier healthcare provider in the Northwest.

Voluntary Participation Employee participation in an established return to work program is voluntary. Employees may enter, withdraw and re-enter the program, and an employee’s participation or non-participation will not be the basis for any disciplinary action. Participation must include the consent of the employee’s physician. Employer creation of a return to work program is voluntary. Consultation Prior to entry into a return to work program, the employer, the employee and the union-designated repre- sentative(s) shall discuss the planned program and its duration. The details of the return to work program will be confirmed in writing to the employee and to the union.
