Municipal Commitments. Nacka municipality has to intensify its efforts to halt rising average temperatures and reduce its impact on the environment as well. Urban development taking place in Nacka must provide leverage for the transition to a more climate-smart society. One element of this work is our participation in Viable Cities – Climate-Neutral Cities 2.0, which is based on Nacka city centre. This project is designated Climate-Neutral Nacka 2030. Nacka municipality intends to: • use, further develop and distribute insights from the Climate-Neutral Nacka 2030 initiative to others, both within and outside the municipality 1 Viable Cities is a strategic innovation program funded by the Swedish Energy Agency, Vinnova and Formas. Hostorganisation is KTH. • identify and develop the municipality’s working methods and ability to adapt in order to achieve the climate goals‌‌ • go on working with the business sector and other partners in order to think along new, climate-smart lines for ongoing urban development • make it easier for the people of Nacka to make climate-smart choices on a daily basis and work to ensure that Nacka residents are involved in efforts to transition to a climate-neutral Nacka. • work to further develop climate action within organisations and increase awareness and understanding within the municipal group of what produces climate emissions and what the organisations can do to reduce their climate impact. • ensure that fossil fuels are phased out entirely in their own operations. • implement land allocation for construction of housing where the lowest climate impact, in terms of both construction and operation, will be crucial. • clarify the governance of the municipality’s long-term environmental and climate action and assist in the attainment of the goals in our policy documents.

Municipal Commitments. 3.1. Municipal climate goals Järfälla’s overall steering documents in the are of sustainability are the Comprehensive Plan and Environmental Plan. These documents contain a number of objectives, measures and key indicators aimed at promoting sustainable develop- ment in line with both national and global climate goals. The overall goal of the Comprehensive Plan is to provide the best possible conditions for sustainable development for those living and working in the municipality. Five interim goals have been formulated to achieve the overall goal. During 2021, work began on revising and digitizing Järfälla’s Comprehensive Plan. The goal of a climate-neutral municipality will be integrated into the new Comprehensive Plan and the Agenda 2030 goals will be taken into account through- out the process. In 2022, the Municipality conducted analyses of trends and the current situation, in which there was a strong emphasis on the climate issue and Järfälla’s goal of climate neutrality. Four principles have also been drawn up for sustainable development, which will form the basis for the upcoming sustainability assessment of the Comprehensive Plan. Järfälla’s Environmental Plan deals with the ecological dimension and is based on the regionally prioritized environmental goals. The plan includes objectives relating to reduced climate impact, a good built environment, non-toxic life, rich flora and fauna, as well as sustainable consumption and high environmental awareness. During 2021–2022, Järfälla’s Environmental Plan was revised with the aim of updating the goals that had already been achieved, as well as integrating the Municipality’s goals regarding climate neutrality and the new target area of fresh air. Municipal Commitments. Eskilstuna municipality, together with representatives from companies, the public sector and the non-profit sector, has devised a joint climate change programme with general climate goals that are applicable to everyone who lives and works in Eskilstuna municipality, with its two cities and rural areas. The municipal group is one of all the stakeholders expected to contribute to the common climate goal, but also to take responsibility for general coordination, communication and monitoring of joint climate action. 1 Viable Cities is a strategic innovation program funded by the Swedish Energy Agency, Vinnova and Formas. In parallel with the Eskilstuna Climate Change Programme, Eskilstuna municipality has compiled a plan for how the municipal group is to work going forward in order to help achieve the joint climate goal. The two policy documents Eskilstuna Climate Change Programme and Municipal Group’s Climate Plan were adopted by the municipal council on 10 November 2022. Hence Eskilstuna will be contributing to the Climate- Neutral Cities 2030 mission, with a good life for all within the boundaries of our planet, by working in broad collaboration and maintaining a trust-based approach focusing on reducing both territorial and consumption-based emissions at a rapid pace.‌

Hostorganisation is KTH. • The Östersund municipal group must be climate-neutral by 2030, and the municipality as a geographical region must be climate-positive by 2040.‌ • Energy use must be reduced by 40 per cent by 2030 in Östersund municipality as a geographical region, and by 30 per cent in the municipal organisation. • The modal split in the Östersund urban area must be 40 per cent cars, 20 per cent public transport and 40 per cent active transport (cycling and walking) by 2030. • Östersund municipality must take action to halve households’ consumption-based emissions by 2030, and to a maximum of 1 tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent per person in 2050, in line with the IPCC. These are municipality-wide objectives, and so they apply to all committees and administrations in Östersund municipality. They primarily cover the aspects that the municipal organisation has the power to decide and implement, but must also lay the foundation for and constitute the desired direction for the municipal group as a whole, the business sector, other activities conducted in the municipality and the opportunity for municipal residents to reduce their climate impact and energy use. Becoming fossil-free and energy-efficient means that Östersund will fulfil its part in the Paris Agreement, the recommendations of the IPCC (the UN climate panel) and the goals of the Jämtland County Administrative Board’s energy and climate strategy, as well as helping to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Achieving the goals will require extensive measures contributing to society’s transition, particularly in light of the journey of growth on which Östersund municipality is embarking. Municipal Commitments. 3.1. Municipal climate goals In June 2022, the Municipal Council adopted a revised version of the Comprehensive Plan, Östersund 2040. The Comprehensive Plan is a strategic document that describes the Municipality’s intentions for the physical environment in the future. It shows how the Municipality wants to use land and water to allow space for more inhabitants, while limiting the ecological footprint, and to contribute to good living conditions. As regards climate impact, the Comprehensive Plan should enable the Municipality to assume a leading role in efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. These objectives shall permeate planning, development, the Municipality’s budget and other municipal decisions. They shall also serve as a desirable direction for business and other operations conducted in the Municipality. Achieving these goals requires far-reaching measures that contribute to an overall transition in society. Fundamentally, it is about developing the city within the existing infrastructure. It is also about encouraging people to choose modes of transport other than the car to get to work and other activities, by developing public transport and cycle routes.   • Additional Commitments The Parties may negotiate commitments with respect to measures affecting trade in services not subject to scheduling under Article 106 (National Treatment) or Article 107 (Market Access), including those regarding qualifications, standards or licensing matters. Such commitments shall be inscribed in a Party's Schedule.

  • STAFF COMMITMENT 23. If this Settlement Agreement is accepted by the Hearing Panel, Staff will not initiate any proceeding under the By-laws of the MFDA against the Respondent in respect of the facts set out in Part IV and the contraventions described in Part V of this Settlement Agreement, subject to the provisions of Part IX below. Nothing in this Settlement Agreement precludes Staff from investigating or initiating proceedings in respect of any facts and contraventions that are not set out in Parts IV and V of this Settlement Agreement or in respect of conduct that occurred outside the specified date ranges of the facts and contraventions set out in Parts IV and V, whether known or unknown at the time of settlement. Furthermore, nothing in this Settlement Agreement shall relieve the Respondent from fulfilling any continuing regulatory obligations.

  • MUTUAL COMMITMENTS ‌ 18 The parties to this Contract are mutually committed to the development of an efficient, cost 19 effective, integrated, person-centered, age specific recovery and resilience model approach to 20 the delivery of quality community behavioral health services. To that end, the parties are 21 mutually committed to maximizing the availability of resources to provide needed behavioral 22 health services in the Service Area, maximizing the portion of those resources used for the 23 provision of direct services and minimizing duplication of effort.

  • Review of Commitments The Parties shall enter into successive rounds of negotiations, beginning not later than three years from the date of entry into force of this Agreement, and periodically thereafter as determined by the FTA Joint Committee, with a view to further improving specific commitments under this Chapter so as to progressively liberalise trade in services among the Parties.

  • Specific Commitments Investments in respect of a particular undertaking of one of the Contracting Parties with respect to nationals and companies of the other Contracting Party shall be governed, without prejudice to the provisions of this Agreement, the terms of that commitment to the extent that it is more favourable provisions than those laid down in this Agreement.

  • Service Commitment Newly hired nurses and currently employed nurses who voluntarily choose to relocate and receive a relocation allowance may be required to serve for a minimum of two years at their base before they will be considered for transfer to another base. This commitment will not apply when the employer and nurse mutually agree to waive it and when relocation occurs as a result of layoff/rehire.

  • Time Commitment The Advisor shall, and shall cause its Affiliates and their respective employees, officers and agents to, devote to the Company such time as shall be reasonably necessary to conduct the business and affairs of the Company in an appropriate manner consistent with the terms of this Agreement. The Company acknowledges that the Advisor and its Affiliates and their respective employees, officers and agents may also engage in activities unrelated to the Company and may provide services to Persons other than the Company or any of its Affiliates.

  • Other Commitments (1) If provisions in the legislation of either Contracting Party or rules of international law entitle investments by investors of the other Contracting Party to treatment more favourable than is provided for by this Agreement, such provisions shall to the extent that they are more favourable prevail over this Agreement.

  • Additional Public Interest Commitments Registry Operator shall comply with the public interest commitments set forth in Specification 11 attached hereto (“Specification 11”).

  • Commitment Charge; Credit (a) The Borrower shall pay a commitment charge on the unwithdrawn amount of the Loan at the rate and on the terms specified in the Loan Agreement.
