MIXED FUNCTIONS. 2.10.1 An Employee engaged for a total of more than 4 hours on any day or shift on duties carrying a higher rate than the Employee's usual classification shall be paid the higher rate for the entire day or shift. 2.10.2 An Employee engaged for 4 hours or less on any day or shift on duties carrying a higher rate than the Employee's ordinary classification shall be paid the higher rate for the time so worked.

If the employee is engaged for less than four hours on such work, the employee shall be paid at the higher rate for the time so worked. The mixed functions allowance does not apply if an employee is performing higher duties as part of training in respect of those duties.

MIXED FUNCTIONS. 2.10.1 23.1 An Employee engaged for a total of more than 4 two (2) hours on any day or one (1) shift on duties carrying performing work at a higher rate than the Employee's usual classification shall be paid the higher rate for the entire day or shift. 2.10.2 An Employee engaged for 4 hours or less on any day or shift on duties carrying a higher rate than the Employee's their ordinary classification shall be paid the higher rate for the full twelve (12) hour shift. If the Employee is engaged for two (2) hours or less in a shift performing work at a higher rate then their ordinary classification they shall only be paid for the time so worked. An Employee performing work carrying a lower rate of pay than their classification will continue to be paid at the rate for their classification.
