Common use of MIXED FUNCTIONS Clause in Contracts

MIXED FUNCTIONS. Where an employee is directed to work temporarily at a classification higher than that under which the employee is engaged (or deemed to be working), the employee shall be paid the rate prescribed for the higher classification for the time spent performing the higher duties. An employee shall not suffer any reduction in wages by reason of the employee having been put to work for a whole shift or part thereof at a classification lower than that under which the employee is engaged or deemed to be working.
