Missed Shifts. Should a nurse be inadvertently missed on a call-in shift, he/she will be offered the next available shift that he/she is able to work.

Missed Shifts. Should a nurse be inadvertently missed on a call-in shift, he/she will be paid premium at time and one half (1 ½), for his/her next tour worked.
Missed Shifts. Once the parties have determined a nurse has been missed during the call-in process for an additional shift, the affected nurse will be offered at least three alternative shifts. The offer to the nurse will be made by the scheduling office in the normal manner. The extra shift will be paid at the rate of pay which the nurse would have received had the offer been made according to the collective agreement. At the time of scheduling the nurse shall not be considered as part of the regular staffing compliment. However, this article continues to be binding regardless of any changes to staffing which occur after the nurse accepts the shift.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Shifts In the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Agency may schedule nursing personnel on a rotational shift basis for a temporary period during the opening of new facilities. The Agency shall not schedule any employee to rotate more than two (2) different shifts in any four (4) week scheduling period. Exceptions may be mutually agreed to by the parties. In the other Agencies, shifts shall not be rotated unless mutually agreed to by the parties.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Work Shifts Employees shall be scheduled to work on regular work shifts having regular starting and quitting times. Except for emergencies (see Section D), employees' work schedules shall not be changed without written notice to the employee at least five (5) working days prior to the date the change is to be effective.   • Shift Hours All shifts assigned by the Employer must conform with the following guidelines:

  • Additional Shifts 32.1 The Employer is committed to maximising its permanent workforce in line with its occupancy levels. The Employer will always offer additional shifts in the first instance to its permanent part-time staff where practicable. It will then offer additional shifts to its casual or bank staff, where applicable.

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • Second Shift The second shift shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours of continuous employment, except for lunch period at mid-shift, and shall be paid eight (8) hours at the straight time hourly wage rate.
