Minimum Time Off Duty. 3.4.1 Other than in an Emergency, an Employee shall be allowed at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between the end of one Ordinary Hours shift and the commencement of the next Ordinary Hours shift.

Minimum Time Off Duty. Subject to this clause, an Employee shall be allowed off duty for a minimum of 10 hours. No Employee shall be called or booked on for duty without having been allowed the minimum period off duty while there is another qualified Employee available who has had the minimum period off duty. When an Employee is brought back on duty without having been allowed the minimum period off duty, such Employee shall: be paid at double time rates for all time worked from the commencement of their previous shift until released from duty, and then be entitled to be absent until the Employee has had the minimum period off duty without loss of pay for any time the Employee had been rostered to work during such absence.

  • Approved Leave of Absence During Vacation Where it can be established by the employee through a doctor's certificate that an illness or accident occurred, or where an employee qualifies for bereavement or any other approved leave during his/her period of vacation, there shall be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence. The period of vacation so displaced shall either be added to the vacation or reinstated for use at a later date, at the employee's option, as mutually agreed.

  • Minimum Hours All employees shall be paid their regular hourly rate for each hour worked except where employed for less than four (4) consecutive hours per day, in which event they shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay. An employee who is called for work and upon reporting finds that his or her services are not required shall receive two (2) hours pay.

For example, after five years of service, the annual PTO accrual rate shall increase to twenty-five (25) days. Unused PTO shall carry over to the next year, but Executive shall cease accruing further PTO at any time Executive has accrued two times his annual accrual rate. Unused PTO days which are not in excess of two-times the annual accrual rate shall be paid in a cash lump sum payment promptly after Executive’s termination of employment.

  • Bereavement During Vacation Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to a bereavement, the employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave in accordance with Article 12.04. The portion of the employee's vacation which is deemed to be bereavement leave under the above provisions will not be counted against the employee's vacation credits.

  • Leave Allowed Before Due Date 7.1.10(a) An employer may allow an employee to take annual leave either wholly or partly in advance before the leave becomes due. In such case, a further period of annual leave will not commence to accrue until after the expiration of the 12 months in respect of which the annual leave or part of it had been taken before it accrued.

  • Minimum Call-Back Time An employee who is called in and required to work outside their regular working hours shall be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at overtime rates unless the call-in is immediately prior to their normal work day, in which case there should be no minimum.
