Minimum Rest Between Shifts. Except where a provision in the Agreement, or a currently accepted practice specifically contemplates otherwise, (e.g. Overtime, Callout and non-standard work week provisions) employees will have a minimum rest period of not less than eight (8) consecutive hours free from work between each shift worked and not less than thirty-two
Minimum Rest Between Shifts. Every employee should have a minimum of eight (8) hours rest between the end of one shift and the commencement of another. In the event that an employee is recalled to work before a period of eight (8) full hours elapses, they shall be paid at one and one-half times (1 ½ x) their regular hourly rate until such eight (8) hour period is over.‌

  • Rest Between Shifts Section 7.10 of the Agreement shall apply in its entirety with the sole exception being that the length of the rest period shall be eight (8) hours rather than eleven (11) hours.

  • Time Off Between Shifts Failure to provide the minimum number of hours between the commencement of an employee's scheduled shift and the commencement of such employee's next scheduled shift shall result in payment of one and one-half (1½) times the employee's regular straight time hourly rate for only those hours which reduce the minimum hour period. Where the minimum period is reduced as a result of an approved change of shift(s) requested by the employee(s), such premium payment shall not apply. The minimum number of hours for purposes of this Article shall be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Night Shift Differential 1. An employee who works an assigned night shift shall, in addition to his or her regular salary, be paid a night shift differential for each hour actually worked on the assigned night shift.

  • Night Shift Employees who regularly work a full shift of eight (8) hours or more on night shift as defined in Section 12.6.1 (Types of Shifts), which includes four (4) hours or more between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m., shall be paid their regular salary plus ten percent (10%) of their monthly salary per month, provided that in the case of any employee who is regularly assigned to night-shift work for less than an entire work week, the additional payment shall be made only for the portion of the work week worked on the night-shift assignment.
