Common use of Minimum Call-Back Time Clause in Contracts

Minimum Call-Back Time. (a) An employee who is required to work overtime which does not immediately precede or continue after the employee's scheduled tour of duty and who reports for work shall be paid on an overtime basis for all overtime worked. If the employee has not been given 24 hours notice of such overtime, the employee shall receive an additional hour's pay at straight-time rate.

Minimum call-back under (a) is four (4) hours pay including the extra hour if less than twenty-four (24) hours notice was given. Overtime paid does not cover travelling time from the employee's residence to the employee's normal reporting centre.
