Midnight Shifts. The following rules shall apply to employees working a regularly scheduled midnight shift subject to emergencies as defined in Article 5.07:

Midnight Shifts. Employees hired prior to June 30, 2010 scheduled to work midnight shifts shall only be scheduled by mutual agreement. An Employee who mutually agrees to work midnight shifts shall sign a scheduling agreement containing a start and end date reflecting a four (4) month time frame commitment. This Agreement shall expire at the end of the four (4) month period unless renewed in writing by the affected parties. This Letter of Agreement shall not apply to Employees who post into Positions which state the working of midnight shifts may be required. It is understood that day and evening shifts are considered to be a separate schedule from the midnight shift. Employees cannot exercise seniority rights for hours between day/evening and midnight shifts. Midnight shifts will be highlighted on the schedule.
Midnight Shifts. Employees working the midnight shift shall be paid a shift differential of seventy cents (70¢) per hour. The midnight shift is defined as a shift in which the major portion of the hours worked fall between 12:00 midnight and 8:00 a.m.
Midnight Shifts. Any shift starting between midnight and five-thirty (5:30) a.m. will be guaranteed eight (8) hours work or pay in lieu thereof, except that, by mutual agreement between employer, union and associate, such shifts may be less than eight (8) hours.
Midnight Shifts. All Employees (except those in receipt of legal exemption) will be required to work midnight shifts. These shifts will not exceed twenty five (25) nights in any calendar year. Reasonable efforts will be used to allow seven (7) week intervals between shifts (excludes Regional Centres). As a principle, NRMA will use reasonable efforts to locate volunteers for any temporary shift, days or team variations, however, where a volunteer cannot be located the minimum notice provided for in this clause shall apply.

  • Night Shift Employees who regularly work a full shift of eight (8) hours or more on night shift as defined in Section 12.6.1 (Types of Shifts), which includes four (4) hours or more between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m., shall be paid their regular salary plus ten percent (10%) of their monthly salary per month, provided that in the case of any employee who is regularly assigned to night-shift work for less than an entire work week, the additional payment shall be made only for the portion of the work week worked on the night-shift assignment.

  • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Unworked Holidays Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the holiday and has worked both the last scheduled shift preceding the holiday and the first scheduled shift succeeding the holiday shall be eligible for pay for such unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if the employee(s) can furnish proof, satisfactory to the District that because of illness they were unable to work on either of such shifts, and the absence previous to such holiday, by reason of such illness, has not been longer than 30 regular workdays, and they received sick pay for the day(s) missed.

  • Loading on Annual Leave During a period of annual leave an employee will receive a loading calculated on the rate of wage prescribed by subclause 7.1.3. The loading shall be as follows:

  • Daylight Saving (a) Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this Agreement, in any area where by reason of the Legislation of a State summer time is prescribed as being in advance of the Standard time of that State the length of any shift:

  • Daylight Saving Time The changing of Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time, or vice versa, shall not result in Employees being paid more or less than their normal scheduled daily hours. The hour difference shall be split between the Employees completing their shift and those commencing their shift.

  • Daylight Savings Time Employees required to work more than eight (8) hours on an eight (8) hour shift or more than ten (10) hours on a ten (10) hour shift due to the change from daylight savings time to standard time shall be paid for the additional hour worked at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2). Employees required to work less than eight (8) hours on an eight (8) hour shift or less than ten (10) hours on a ten (10) hour shift due to the change from standard time to daylight savings time shall be paid for the actual hours worked. Employees may use vacation time or compensatory time to make up for the one (1) hour lost. Employees in the first six (6) months of employment who would be eligible to accrue vacation, may be advanced one (1) hour of vacation time which shall either be deducted from their vacation leave balance, or deducted from their last paycheck if the employee is separated prior to accruing vacation.

  • Afternoon Shift If a second shift is employed, the hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours of work between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 12:30 A.M. for which eight (8) hours will be paid and a shift premium of sixty-one cents (61¢) shall be added on to the classified hourly rate.
