Mid-Day Trips. On or prior to the first student attendance day, traditional school year drivers shall bid on an AM and PM route with a mid-day route attached, by departmental seniority, with first preference to the eight hour drivers on the traditional school year calendar. This bidding will include the career center route with mid-day segments attached. Drivers with a bid mid-day trip may not concurrently be on the mid-day field trip list.

Mid-Day Trips. On or before the first student attendance day, eight-hour bus drivers will bid on the mid-day route positions at their assigned compound. Such positions shall be awarded based on departmental seniority. Unbid positions will be offered to the most senior eight-hour drivers that do not have a mid-day route, and if a position is still unfilled, it will be assigned to the least senior eight-hour driver eligible to bid. Mid-day trips include but are not limited to mid-day preschool trips and mid-day special education trips. Mid-day career center segments will continue to be attached to the am or pm career center segments. Only eight-hour drivers will be eligible to bid such career center routes. Eight-hour drivers with an assigned mid-day trip may not concurrently be on the mid-day field day trip list.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday‌ A team member who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday. The scheduling of the lieu day shall be in accordance with Appendix 4.
