Method of Accumulation. Sick leave shall be cumulative from year to year and there shall be no limit on the number of days of sick leave an employee may accrue; provided, that at least one-half of this cumulative leave must be established within the Palm Beach County School District. An employee returning to the system after a leave of absence or resignation shall be entitled to the accrued balance credited at the time of such leave or resignation.
Method of Accumulation. All of the unused portion of the Sick Leave Allowance shall be credited to the Teacher's sick leave credit balance at the close of each year.

Method of Accumulation i) A back credit allowance shall be established for all employees who have been employed by the Board prior to February 2nd, 1982 on the following basis: one day's sick leave credit for each completed month of recognized seniority less the actual number of days absent from January 1, 1969.

Method of Accumulation i) Effective September 2008, seven (7) days of the unused portion of the Sick Leave Allowance shall be credited to the employee's sick leave credit balance at the close of the year to a maximum of seven (7) days.

Each employee shall receive an updated statement prior to January 30th of the following year. The maximum accumulation in the sick leave credit balance is not to exceed days at any time. Effective from January for employees hired to the Board with seniority in the bargaining unit prior to December upon retirement, shall be entitled to receive the following sick leave payment, if eligible: Twenty five dollars ($25.00) per day for each day in the employee's sick leave credit balance in excess of days up to the maximum of days. Any employee hired after December shall not be eligible for this payment,
Method of Accumulation. Vacation leave shall be accrued on an hourly basis and credited after each pay period, as earned.

If the Statutory Allowance has been exhausted in any given year the employee's sick leave credit balance will then be debited for any absences. The maximum accumulation in the sick leave credit balance commencing August is not to exceed working days at a given date for calendar year employees and working days for scholastic year employees.
