Memorial Day. Independence Day Labor Day Columbus Day Thanksgiving Day Shift Rates When two shifts are employed, the work period for each shift shall be a continuous eight (8) hours. When three shifts are employed, each shift will work seven and one half (7 ½) hours but will be paid for eight (8) hours since only one half (1/2) hour is allowed for meal time. When two or more shifts are employed, single time will be paid for each shift. Night Work - On night work, the first eight (8) hours of work will be paid for at the single time rate, except that production paving work shall be paid at 10% over the single time rate for the screed person, xxxxxx and shovelers directly involved only. This differential is to be paid when there is only one shift and the shift works at night. All other workers will be exempt.
