MEMBER’S RIGHTS. In addition to all other rights and remedies that a Member may have at law and in equity, including, but not limited to, under the Act, a Member may bring any action against the Manager, another Member and/or the Company to enforce the terms and provisions of this Agreement, to obtain a judgment for damages for a breach of this Agreement, and/or to cause the Manager and/or a Member to perform its obligations under this Agreement.
MEMBER’S RIGHTS. 28.1 Members shall have access to all of their personnel records at reasonable times (0830 - 1600 hours), Monday to Friday, and shall, upon request, be provided with copies of material contained in such records, which shall be corrected if inaccurate, or purged if inappropriate; and where a dispute arises and satisfactory settlement cannot be reached, recourse shall be sought through the grievance procedure.
MEMBER’S RIGHTS. 20.1 Members of the Portland Police Department hold a unique status as public officials, and the security of the City and its citizens depends to a great extent upon the manner in which members of the Department perform their manifold duties. The performance of such duties involves the members in all manner of contacts and relationships with the public. Out of such contacts and relationships may arise questions concerning the actions of members of the force. Such questions may require prompt investigation by Superior Officers designated by the Chief of Police or other competent authority.

The rights granted to unit members by this Agreement will be deemed to be in addition to those specifically provided in District policy.

If the investigation is as a result of a complaint from the public, misconduct or other violations that come to the attention of a superior officer, the following procedure shall be followed: Upon receipt/knowledge of an allegation of misconduct or other violations(s) by a member, the Lieutenant or Sergeant of the Office of Professional Standards (OPS) will seek to determine if there are recordings or reports related to the circumstances surrounding the allegation. REFUNDS MUST BE MADE WITHIN THIRTY DAYS OF RECEIPT OF THE CANCELLATION NOTICE BY THE COMPANY.
