Common use of Medical Leave Clause in Contracts

Medical Leave. A. A Member who is unable to work as the result of an injury or illness will be placed on a Medical Leave, which is a status designation that is unrelated to any compensation the Member may be entitled to (e.g., paid-leave, short-term disability, long-term disability, or workers’ compensation).

Medical Leave. A. A Member Subd. 1: An employee who is unable to work as the result conduct his/her job duties because of an injury illness or illness will be placed on a Medical Leaveinjury, which is a status designation that is unrelated to any compensation the Member may be entitled to (e.g., paid-leave, short-term disability, or has become eligible for long-term disabilitydisability compensation, or workers’ compensation)shall, upon request, be granted a medical leave of absence, without pay, up to one (1) year. The District may, in its discretion, renew such a leave.
