Medical and Dental Appointments. Employees shall make every effort to schedule medical and dental appointments outside of working hours. Where this is not reasonably possible, appointments should be made so as to minimize absence from work. Employees shall notify their supervisor of such appointments as far in advance as possible. Such required absences shall be paid. In cases where such absences become excessive, the employee may be required to make up the time, take the leave without pay, use vacation credits, or use banked overtime.
