Measurement of Energy. Measurement of electrical energy shall be done at the Interconnection point or points by the metering system. Metering shall be at 66kV or 33kV side of 220/66kV or 220/33kV substation (as the case may be) where the power from the solar power project is injected and at the 220 kV Side of 400/220kV substation of CTU i.e., POWERGRID. For commercial settlement, inter-connection point or delivery point shall mean the point at 220 kV side of 400/ 220 kV PGCIL Substation of CTU. All costs and losses up to that point will be to the account of the Solar Power Developers. It is pertinent to mention that the metering shall be done as per the provisions mentioned under the Implementation and Support Agreement signed between Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation Limited and the Solar Power Developer.

Any meter which registers not more than ±0.5% slow or fast shall be deemed correct. No device or connection shall be maintained by the Company at the service location which will prevent any meter from registering correctly the energy used or to be used.
Measurement of Energy. The Annual Generation corresponding to the CUF to be met by the Solar Power Developer shall be measured as the aggregate of the units measures at the meter installed for the the corresponding blocks at 220 kV side of 400/220 kV PGCIL substation. The units measured at 220 kV side of 400/220 kV PGCIL substation = units measured at 33 kV side of 220/33 kV KSPDCL substation – loss in units approved by KSPDCL for the corresponding capacities in respective blocks, as recorded in the joint meter reading signed-off by KSPDCL, BESCOM and KREDL.

Measurement of Energy. A Customer’s generating facility used for Commercial Generation metering shall be equipped with two meters. One meter will measure all of the kWh’s and demand used by the customer and the other meter will be connected to the line side of the City’s power system and show all kWh’s produced by the customer’s (GF). The City will install both meters at the customer’s expense.
