Meals and Incidentals. 1.1 a) A meals and incidentals expense allowance (i.e. per diem) will be provided quoted to the employee based on in advance of the travel procedure and assignment commencing. The allowance will be determined using Treasury Board directives.1 rates.2 The meals portion of the per diem will be prorated for actual meals consumed for partial days spent in travel (first day and last day of assignment and travel days). This allowance is payable by expense claim.
