Meal Reimbursement. 1. If an employee is required to work one and one-half (1-1/2) hours before or beyond his/her normal working day or on overtime for emergency purposes or for extended work periods of five (5) or more hours in length on a day that is not the employee’s regular work day, and the employee is not exercising flexible work hours, the employee shall be reimbursed for the actual cost of a meal/food items not to exceed $18.00, plus tip (not to exceed 15%) and applicable taxes. Reimbursement is contingent upon the employee providing receipts.

State Game Wardens, and Hunter Safety Coordinators, who were employed in those classes prior to July 1, 1999, will receive a cash allowance equal to eight hundred dollars ($800) per fiscal year while employed in such class(es). Meal Reimbursement. When an employee is specifically directed by the City to work two (2) hours or longer at the beginning or end of their normal work shift away from their place of residence of not less than eight (8) hours or otherwise works under circumstances for which meal reimbursement is authorized per Ordinance 111768 and the employee actually purchases a reasonably priced meal away from their place of residence as a result of such additional hours of work, the employee shall be reimbursed for the "reasonable cost" of such meal in accordance with Ordinance 111768. In order to receive reimbursement, the employee must furnish the City with a dated original itemized receipt from the establishment for said meal no later than the end of the following pay period; otherwise, the employee shall be paid a maximum of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) in lieu of reimbursement for the meal.
