Meal Period. A. Employees shall not be required to work more than five (5) hours from the start of the shift without at least a one-half (½) hour break for lunch. This lunch period shall not begin earlier than three and one-half (3½) hours after the start of the shift. If they are required to work past five (5) hours, one-half (½) hour at the applicable overtime rate shall be added to the hours worked and they must then be allowed time to eat their lunch. If not allowed to eat their lunch, employees will be paid and additional one-half (½) hour of overtime.
