Meal Intervals. An employer shall not require or permit an employee to work for more than five hours continuously without a meal interval of not less than one hour, during which interval such employee shall not be required or permitted to perform any work: Provided that-

The meal break shall be taken at a mutually convenient time to be reached by agreement. Provided that where an agreement cannot be reached, the employer may require the employee to take a meal break at a time convenient to the business.

Meal Intervals. Each employee other than a shift worker shall be entitled to meal intervals as provided in this clause:
Meal Intervals. An employee is entitled to a one-hour break for a meal after not more than five hours work. Such interval may be reduced to 30 minutes, by agreement between the parties. If required or permitted to work during this period, remuneration must be paid.
