Maximum Duration Clause Examples

The Maximum Duration clause sets a clear limit on the length of time an agreement, obligation, or specific provision remains in effect. Typically, it specifies a fixed period—such as one year, five years, or until a certain event occurs—after which the relevant terms automatically expire unless renewed or extended by mutual consent. This clause ensures that parties are not indefinitely bound by the contract, providing certainty and a defined endpoint to their commitments.
