Material Handler. A Material Handler may be utilized in ratio of one (1) Material Handler with any five (5) Journeymen on any given project. Duties shall be limited to pick-up and delivery of material, shop tools, demolition of and removal of existing floor covering, moving of furniture, fixtures or equipment, cleaning or waxing of floors before and after installation. Material Handlers may not perform bargaining unit work as defined in Article II, Section 2 of this Agreement.
Material Handler. A Material Handler is defined as a shop worker who performs tasks of routine and highly repetitive nature relating to high volume production. The Material Handler may also perform other tasks such as clean up, receiving and truck driving. The ratio of Material Handlers to other regular workers (Journeymen and Apprentices) shall be as follows:

Sheeter/Xxxxxx: A worker who has progressed through the above classifications and who is capable of performing the duties required of an employee under this Craft Schedule “S”.

All Material Handler scope-of-work performed under the Industrial Addendum to include shop and field. Back payment of all fringe benefits will be required commencing on the first day of employment following successful completion of the 30 day probationary period.
Material Handler. 1 A worker who has worked as a Probationary Employee or who was classified as a Probationary Material Handler as of April 30, 2019. Except as set out below a Material Handler #1 shall be restricted to the handling of material, on the ground or on a roof. When being trained to advance to the classification of Material Handler #2, a Material Handler #1 can be assigned work on swing stages, scaffolding or from structural framework only when working with and under the direct supervision of a Sheeter/Xxxxxx or Sheeter/Xxxxxx Assistant. At the completion of 1200 hours of employment, he shall be classified as a Material Handler #2.

Material Handler. 2 A worker who has worked as a Material Handler #1 or a Probationary Material Handler. A Material Handler #2 shall not work on swing stages, scaffolding or from structural framework unless working under the supervision of a Sheeter/ Xxxxxx or Sheeter/Xxxxxx Assistant.
Material Handler. 3 A worker who was classified as a Material Handler as of April 30, 2019. No employee shall qualify as a Material Handler #3 after April 30, 2019. This classification will no longer exist as of April 30, 2022. It is anticipated that all Material Handler #3’s will be promoted to Sheeter/ Xxxxxx Assistant by April 30, 2022. Should any Material Handler # 3’s not be promoted to Sheeter/Xxxxxx Assistant by April 30, 2022 they will be promoted on that date unless the Union agrees that they should continue as a Material Handler # 2 as of May 1, 2022.
Material Handler. Is an employee who is responsible for stocking parts on the assembly line as required and reports back on the usage of said stock in a timely manner. From time to time, the material handler will perform other duties assigned by management. (First posting to be Feb. 1994.)
