MARC Records. When applicable to the Licensed Materials, at Licensee’s request, Licensor shall provide full OCLC-quality batched sets of MARC records incorporating Licensee specifications at no additional cost by the date of the execution of this License Agreement. Updates to existing records and new title records, matching the schedule of release and delivery of new publications, will be provided on a mutually agreed-upon schedule and in a format that renders them useful to the Licensee and/or the Participating Institutions.

MARC Records. When applicable to the Licensed Materials, at the Licensee’s request, the Distributor shall provide or shall ensure that the Publisher will provide full OCLC-quality batched sets of MARC records incorporating Licensee specifications at no additional cost by the date of the execution of this Agreement. Updates to existing records and new title records, matching the schedule of release and delivery of new publications, will be provided on a mutually agreed-upon schedule and in a format that renders them useful to the Licensee and/or the Participating Institutions. Such records may be provided by means of the Publisher´s online service.

PRESERVATION OF LICENSED MATERIALS Licensor will make available a digital archive of the Licensed Materials and associated metadata on its servers, and with at least one of the following third-party archiving services: Portico, CLOCKSS, LOCKSS, Scholars Portal, or another mutually agreed-upon archiving service, and inform the Licensee on which of the archiving services the archive may be found. The archive will be maintained in perpetuity, with its format converted from time to time as appropriate if the technology used for storage or access changes. If the Licensor is unable to continue to provide Perpetual Access from its servers, the Licensee is entitled to access the archive from the third-party archiving service to fulfill Clauses 2.2 [Perpetual Access Rights] and 10.5.3 [Continued Access to Licensed Materials].
MARC Records. The Library may purchase MARC records for titles released after October 1, 2004. The Library shall determine the best method of delivery of MARC records. Technical Services staff or Public Service staff (as needed) shall create item records and spine or title labels for all materials. Technical Services staff shall inspect and edit basic cataloging records in the Library’s bibliographic database. Catalogers shall inspect and edit complex cataloging records and perform original cataloging in OCLC, LC and the Library’s bibliographic database
