Manuscript. The Author agrees to deliver to the Publisher not later than November 28 , 1996 three finally revised copies of the manuscript, approximately 70,000 words in length, satisfactory in form, style, and content and acceptable to the Publisher in its sole judgment and discretion. FORM OF A. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Author shall MANUSCRIPT furnish promptly and free of charge to the Publisher, complete and ready for reproduction, all drawings, maps, photographs, charts and designs which are a part of or necessary to the text. If the Author fails to supply any necessary drawings, maps, photographs, charts and designs in satisfactory form and within the specified time, the Publishers shall have the right to have them made and the charges and expenses of making them shall be paid for by the Author.
Manuscript. The Author agrees to deliver to the Publisher on or about the 1st day of October 2018, a complete, typewritten manuscript of the work, satisfactory to the Publisher in content and final form, including all photographs, drawings, charts, index, appendix, bibliography, or other supplementary matter. The Author shall be solely responsible for obtaining from the original copyright holders any necessary permissions and any payments that may be required for said permissions for using said copyrighted material in his/her manuscript. The Author must notify the Publisher if any portion of his/her manuscript has previously appeared in print. In the event the manuscript is not in final form satisfactory to the Publisher, including the aforementioned supplements, the Publisher shall have the right to edit and revise the manuscript prior to first publication, or to any subsequent printing; provided, however, that such editing or revision shall not materially change the meaning, or materially alter the text of said work without the Author's consent. Editing to correct infelicities of expression, misstatements of fact, misquotations, errors in grammar, sentence structure, and spelling, and editing to make the work conform to the Publisher's style of punctuation, capitalization, and like details shall not be considered as materially changing the manuscript. The Publisher will use the same care in protecting the manuscript and accompanying material as customary practice demands in protecting similar material in its possession, but it shall not be liable for damages resulting from the loss or destruction of such materials, or any part thereof. COPYRIGHT The Publisher shall have the right to register the copyright of the work and all renewals of such copyright in the name of the Author in any and all countries of the world. It shall also have the right to any assistance from the Author as may be necessary to protect the copyright and renewals thereof PRODUCTION, PUBLICATION, AND ADVERTISEMENT The Publisher agrees to publish the work at its own expense. However, both Parties also recognize the importance of acquiring patent protection and of maintaining Confidential Information as proprietary. Consequently, subject to any applicable laws or regulations obligating either Party to do otherwise, any proposed publication or oral presentation by either Party shall comply with this Section 13.1. At least ninety (90) days before a manuscript is to be submitted to a publisher, the publishing Party will provide the chairperson and secretary of the Steering Committee with a copy of the manuscript]. If the publishing Party wishes to make an oral presentation, it will provide the other Party ("Reviewing Party") with a copy of the abstract (if one is submitted) at least forty (40) days before it is to be submitted. The publishing Party will also provide to the Reviewing Party a copy of the text of the presentation, including all slides, posters, and any other visual aids, at least forty (40) days before the presentation is made.

Manuscript. A piece of research with identified authors submitted to an MDPI journal with the aim of publication as a research paper. All submitted manuscripts containing original research undergo a rigorous peer review process following the norms for research journals. APC Article processing charge. A per-article fee that covers the cost of administration of peer review, professional production (including copy-editing, language editing, and preparation of final published versions in PDF, XML, and other formats), journal management (including communication with the editorial board, development of editorial strategy, dissemination of published research), and other tasks necessary to maintain an academic publishing house. Central payment A process whereby invoices for APCs are sent to a single recipient based at the institution for payment rather than individual authors. Invoices related to central payment may be collated and issued on a regular basis (e.g., monthly or quarterly) rather than for each individual manuscript. Prepayment Transfer of funds from the Institution to MDPI in order to cover APCs in advance of an invoice being issued. Manuscript. The Author agrees to provide the Press with a manuscript of the Article, and any figures and illustrations, prepared in accordance with the Journal’s published instructions to contributors on the preparation of manuscripts.
Manuscript. The Author agrees to deliver the completed Manuscript to the Publisher by DATE. The Author acknowledges and confirms that the Publisher shall have no liability of any kind for the loss or destruction of the manuscript or any other documents or materials provided by the Author to the Publisher, and agrees to make and maintain copies of all such documents and materials for use in the event of such loss or destruction. At the Publisher’s request, Author shall also deliver to the Publisher all authorizations and permissions for the use of any copyrighted or other proprietary materials owned by any third party which appear in the Manuscript and written releases or consents by any person or entity described, quoted, or depicted in the Manuscript (“Permissions”). If the Publisher, in its sole discretion, deems the Manuscript and/or Permissions and/or any other materials delivered by the Author to be unacceptable in form or substance, then the Publisher shall so advise the Author by written notice, and the Author shall have the opportunity to cure any defects and generally revise, correct, and/or supplement the Manuscript, Permissions and/or other materials to the satisfaction of the Publisher. If such revised, corrected and/or supplemented materials are not delivered in a timely manner, or if they are deemed unsatisfactory in form or substance by the Publisher, then the Publisher shall have the unqualified right to terminate this Agreement without further obligation to the Author. The Publisher shall have the right to edit the Book provided the meaning of the text is not materially altered, and shall have the right to publish and promote the Book in a suitable style as to paper, printing, binding, cover design, and to fix or alter price. The Author shall have the opportunity to review any edits, have final approval of the Book’s text/content, and will have a chance to review the Book’s pages prior to printing and offer any suggestions or bring up any concerns. The Publisher will have final approval over design (cover and interior) and production.

Title: Differences in Diabetes Care Practices Between Rural and Urban Adults in the United States in 2017 Author: Xxxxx (Siqi) Ma Abstract Aims: There is evidence of disparities in diabetes-related health outcomes between those living in rural and urban counties of the U.S. This may in part be related to urban-rural disparities in the receipt of diabetes care practices. Our study examined differences in diabetes care practices across the urban-rural continuum in U.S. adults with diabetes for the year 2017. Methods: Data were from the 2017 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System telephone survey of 14,455 non-institutionalized adults with self-reported diagnosed diabetes with information on diabetes care and residence. Two types of diabetes care practices were considered: engagement with health care and self-management behaviors. Engagement practices included biannual health professional visits, biannual HbA1c tests, and an annual foot exam. Self-management indicators included diabetes education, daily glucose self-monitoring, daily foot checks, and monthly exercise. Place of residence was classified based on the respondent’s landline telephone number. Respondents in any a xxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxx xxxx (XXX) were considered urban, while respondents outside an MSA were considered rural. We estimated the prevalence of each care practice across the urban-rural continuum. We also conducted multiple logistic regression to estimate the association between residence (ref= urban) and each care practice, adjusting for race/ethnicity, sex, education, income, and age. Measures were stratified by race to account for potential effect modification.
