Mandatory Off-Duty Training. The City may require that employees attend periodic training sessions as determined by the Bureau in accordance with DPSST and DOJ requirements. These two training sessions shall be in addition to any training which BOEC offers to employees on a voluntary basis.

Mandatory Off-Duty Training. For mandatory training that occurs outside the unit member’s normally scheduled shift, unit members shall be paid for all hours of mandatory off duty training at the applicable rate of pay, with a minimum guarantee of three (3) straight time hours. Mandatory off duty training sessions will normally be conducted between 0800 and 2100 hours. Notification of mandatory off duty training periods shall be provided to affected unit members at least thirty (30) days in advance, where reasonably possible. If the unit member has approved leave during this period already scheduled in Telestaff they will be considered excused and required to attend a make-up session. Mandatory Off-Duty Training. The City may require that employees attend periodic training up to forty (40) hours per year. Training sessions may be conducted in up to one forty (40) hour block of time once per year, or may be scheduled in smaller increments of time, not to exceed twenty (20) hours in a six-month period of time. Training will be scheduled with enough advance notice to coincide with the biannual shift and vacation signup. These training sessions shall be in addition to any training which BOEC offers to employees on a voluntary basis.
Mandatory Off-Duty Training. 25.6.1 The City may require that employees attend two four (4) to eight (8) -hour training sessions per year as determined by management. These two training sessions shall be in addition to any training which BOEC offers to employees on a voluntary basis.
Mandatory Off-Duty Training for part-time employees under this program shall be paid at straight time. However, the bureau will attempt to schedule mandatory training during the part-time employee’s shift as much as possible.

  • Mandatory Training The Department reserves the right to require the Charter School to attend any training related to the responsibilities of a Charter School.

  • Required Training For training that is required by the Agency, manager or supervisor, the Agency shall reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of all related necessary and legitimate expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, travel expenses, travel time, and attendance time. When practical, the Agency will attempt to adjust the employee’s hours if the approved training activity is scheduled during the employee’s normal work hours.

  • Off the Job Training Where it is agreed that an employee undertakes job related training provided by the Employer or by a Third Party, that training may be undertaken either on or off the job. Where courses are available during normal working hours, the employee has first option of attending training at these times. If such training is undertaken during normal working hours, the employee concerned will not suffer any loss of pay. Where the Employer requires an employee to undertake mandatory job related training after hours, single time rates shall apply. Any costs associated with standard fees for prescribed courses and prescribed textbooks (except those textbooks which are available in the Employer's technical library) incurred in connection with the undertaking of training will be reimbursed by the Employer upon production of evidence of such expenditure. Provided that reimbursement will also be on an annual basis subject to the presentation of reports of satisfactory progress. Travel costs incurred by an employee undertaking training in accordance with this clause which exceed those normally incurred in travelling to and from work will be reimbursed by the Employer.

  • Specialized Training The Agency agrees to provide state-wide minimum standards of training for specialized assignments or required duties, such as Emergency Response Team, Special Emergency Response Team, and other posts, where use of weapons, use of physical force or breathing apparatus are required.

  • Funding for Training (a) In furtherance of the objectives of clause 31 hereof, and as a further initiative to enhance the employment and career opportunities of the Employees, the Parties will continue to facilitate on-going training to improve occupational health & safety in the industry and to improve employees work skills so as to advance progression to higher industry skill levels.

  • Mandatory Assistance If a third party dispute or litigation, or both, arises out of, or relates in any way to the services provided to the City under a Contract, Contractor , its agents, officers, and employees agree to assist in resolving the dispute or litigation upon City’s request. Contractor’s assistance includes, but is not limited to, providing professional consultations, attending mediations, arbitrations, depositions, trials or any event related to the dispute resolution and/or litigation.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.

  • Staff Training VENDOR shall ensure that all staff providing direct Services receive continuing education and training as needed or required and that such education and training is documented.
