Make Up Work for Relief Positions. (a) Day Employees Hour Shift Employees A relief employee scheduled to work in excess of straight time days in the week cycle will be paid at applicable overtime rates for those days. The affected employee may be given the option of time off in lieu of payment if requested. A relief employee scheduled to work less than straight time days in the week cycle will be granted the right to work at available work for straight time payment to make-up for lost time if requested by the employee. Vacation relief employees will be scheduled for a minimum of eight (8) days in a pay period. Hour Shift Employees A relief employee will not be scheduled to work in excess of four (4) consecutive twelve hour shifts and will not be scheduled for less than hours in a pay period. In addition hours over hours in a pay period will be considered as distributable overtime.
