Common use of Maintenance of Layoff Status Clause in Contracts

Maintenance of Layoff Status. 8.6(a)(1) Each employee laid off under the provisions of this Article will remain on layoff status for a total period of three (3) years from the date the layoff was effective, subject to 8.6(a)(3).

Maintenance of Layoff Status. 8.6(a)(18.3(a)(1) Each employee laid off under the provisions of this Article will remain on layoff status for a total period equal to their length of three Company service up to a maximum of two (32) years from the date the layoff was effective, subject to 8.6(a)(3Section 8.3(a)(2). Employees on the active payroll of the predecessor Company immediately prior to closing shall be credited with their length of service from the predecessor Company.
