Maintainer. A Dietary Worker seeking appointment to a Maintainer I, and a part-time Maintainer I seeking a full-time appointment, within or without his/her current work location, shall both be considered a voluntary transfer, and be governed by the terms of Article 10, section 4.
Maintainer. (a) A Track Maintainer is defined as an employee has successfully completed the training program for such classification and has passed the qualifying tests as outlined in Section The position of Maintainer is to be regarded as one which has been assigned in accordance with the provisions of Section and which has been worked, in the preceding eighteen months, by the Maintainer assigned to it or by the senior Maintainer who has displaced A Maintainer who has been laid off on account of reduction of staff and who is unable to exercise displacement rights in accordance with Clause shall have preference of employment in order of seniority in any extra gangs. Such employees must return to a position in that classification on their seniority territory when properly notified that such work of an expected duration of thirty (30) days or more is available to them and failing to do so will forfeit their seniority in that classification. NOTE: See Understanding No. A Maintainer whose position was abolished will have prior rights to return to former position if such position is re-established within a period of eighteen months, except that such prior rights will not extend over a Senior Maintainer who has been displaced and is exercising seniority to displace a junior employee. Special Maintenance and Extra Gangs
Maintainer. One year for each year of direct related experience up to three years and one year for each additional two years of direct related experi- ence up to a total maximum of eight years.
Maintainer. 1’s with CDLs who sign up as back up drivers shall remain on back up driver list for at least one year.
