Main Duties. In conjunction with the wider Pharmacy Digital Health team, deliver a Cerner Oncology module that encompasses chemotherapy prescribing, administration and appointment scheduling into the EMR of Xxxxxx Health on-time and within budget • Be involved in the development and maintenance of the Pharmacy Digital Health systems such as the electronic medication management system (Cerner), pharmacy dispensing systems (iPharmacy), infusion pump software (Alaris Smart Pumps) and automated dispensing cabinets (Omnicell) where necessary. • Work in conjunction with Digital Health to implement an enterprise wide Electronic Medical Record and achieve HIMSS Level 6 EMR Adoption accreditation • Act as a liaison between clinical end-users, digital health, and external consultants and suppliers in the analysis, design and configuration, testing and maintenance of new and interfaced clinical systems to ensure optimal operational performance • Conduct probationary reviews, performance appraisals and performance management where required of direct reports in collaboration with the Clinical and Technical Leads of Pharmacy Digital Health. Clinical: • Actively contribute to various drug utilisation and medication evaluation programs • Attend key meetings of the Chemotherapy and Medication Working Group, and Day Oncology Scheduling Working Group. • Contribute to, and report the status of implementation of the Cerner Oncology Module to the Cerner Oncology Steering Committee in conjunction with the Cerner Oncology Subject Matters Expert (SME) • Coordinate and help prepare monthly key performance indicator summaries for all areas of responsibility and report to Pharmacy – Digital Health Lead Pharmacist or Deputy Director of Pharmacy - Chief Pharmacy Information Officer • Contribute to the monthly financial analysis and annual budget plan of the relevant clinical directorate where applicable • To provide specialist input to contribute to the successful implementation of Digital Health strategies within clinical areas such as integration and new informatics systems deployment Digital Health: • Co-ordinate troubleshooting advice and problem solving of issues related to the Cerner electronic medication management system.
