Lunch Periods and Breaks. 1. Lunch is a non-duty period during which an employee is entirely free from work requirements. An employee cannot be required to remain or consume their meal at the workplace during lunch. Lunch should normally be scheduled at the same time each day and can be no less than thirty

Employees who work in excess of five clock hours per day shall be entitled to a thirty minute duty free unpaid lunch period, scheduled by his/her supervisor, all as added to the normal work day, except as may be the practice at the time of the effective date of this agreement.

Custodians - Eight hour custodians shall receive either an hour or a half-hour duty-free unpaid lunch which shall be scheduled approximately mid-shift in addition to two paid fifteen minute breaks each day. Part-time custodians shall receive one paid fifteen minute break for each three and one-half hours worked.
