Common use of Lunch and Rest Breaks Clause in Contracts

Lunch and Rest Breaks. Employees will have a thirty (30) minute lunch break without pay at an appropriate time during an eight (8) hour shift. Employees will also have a fifteen (15) minute paid rest break during each half of an eight (8) hour shift.

Lunch and Rest Breaks. (a) Employees will have a thirty (30) minute lunch break without pay at an appropriate time during on an eight (8) or ten (10) hour shift. Employees schedule will also have a fifteen paid lunch period of twenty (1520) minutes at straight time to be taken during the 4th or 5th hours of any shift worked. In addition, such Employees shall receive two (2) ten minute paid rest break breaks during each half of an eight (8) hour shift.
