Long Term Sick Leave. 44.2.28 The payment of long term Sick Leave requires employees’ to provide medical evidence which demonstrates the ability to return to preinjury duties or suitable alternate duties. The medical evidence must define the treatment required (allowing for reasonable accommodation of medical restrictions) and the timeframe for the employee to return to work. If sufficient medical evidence is not provided, ongoing paid sick leave will be reviewed.
