Long Term Leave Without Pay. 7.21.1 Requests for a long-term leave of absence without pay or benefits shall be made in writing to the Human Resources department no later than April 15. The request shall include a general purpose or reason for the leave. Specific personal, confidential information shall not be required in the formal request. This leave may be granted at the discretion of the District.
Long Term Leave Without Pay. All employees who are approved for leave of absence will not jeopardize their consideration for reappointment under Article l3 of the TA and ELC Appendices, assuming the employees are eligible for reappointment and confirm their availability for reappointment within eight (8) weeks of the commencement of the term when they will return.
Long Term Leave Without Pay. Teachers may be granted, upon written request to and approval of the Board, an unpaid leave of absence for up to one (1) school year for the purpose of personal illness, illness in the immediate family, or rearing of a child. Written requests for unpaid leave of absence for the ensuing year must be filed prior to March 1st of the current year, except when the situation for which the leave is requested could not have been known prior to March 1st. Written notification for reinstatement for the ensuing year following a leave of absence must be filed by March 1. If no such request is filed by that date, the teacher will be deemed to have resigned effective at the end of the current contract year. While on approved leave, a teacher shall not lose any accumulated leave, years of experience, or career status; however, no additional leave, years of experience, or career status shall accrue during the leave. Teachers on approved leave may continue to participate in the district’s health plan with the teacher paying the premiums. Upon returning from an unpaid leave of absence, the teacher will be assigned to a position for which the teacher is certified. (6-26-96)
Long Term Leave Without Pay. The Board of Supervisors has discretion to authorize special leaves of absence without pay for any period up to six (6) consecutive calendar months. Such leaves include, but are not limited to educational, Union, and public official leave. Such leaves may be renewed for additional periods of up to six (6) consecutive calendar months upon the request of the Employee, if agreed to by the Board of Supervisors. Employees returning from authorized leaves of absence without pay of more than ten (10) workdays shall return to their former job, if physically qualified and the position is vacant, or to another equivalent position in accordance with his/her qualifications and ability.
Long Term Leave Without Pay. Applications for long term leave of absence must be made in writing, including a proposed return to work date, normally at least four (4) weeks in advance. Subject to operational considerations, such applications will not be unreasonably denied.
Long Term Leave Without Pay. The Board of Supervisors has discretion to authorize special leaves of absence without pay for any period up to ninety (90) consecutive calendar days. This leave is renewable with department head recommendation and Board approval, unless an alternate schedule is approved by the Board.
Long Term Leave Without Pay a. Conditions of leave without pay:

Long Term Leave Without Pay. Subject to the approval of the RCJTC President or designate, an employee may be granted a part-time or full-time leave of absence from their position. The following shall apply if the leave is approved.
