Long Term Capital Expenses a. Capital Improvements Fund. CITY and DISTRICT recognize the importance of providing for long-term capital investment in the Project Facilities to ensure a sustainable community facility. CITY and DISTRICT agree to create an endowment fund (the “Capital Improvements Fund”) for the payment of long-term capital expenses for the Project Facilities. The Capital Improvements Fund shall be jointly owned and managed by the CITY and DISTRICT, and the CITY and DISTRICT will cooperate to develop an investment and use policy for the Capital Improvements Fund. Unless otherwise prohibited by law, the CITY agrees to deposit a minimum of $15,000 per fiscal year and the DISTRICT agrees to deposit a minimum amount of $10,000 per fiscal year into the Capital Improvements Fund, commencing with the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022, until the minimum amount on deposit in the Capital Improvements Fund is at least $250,000. The investment and use policy shall set forth requirements for replenishment of the Capital Improvement Fund.

  • Lodging and Meal Expenses 1. Employees in travel status in the performance of their duties shall be entitled to expenses of necessary lodging and/or meals as provided for in Section 40 of the Manual of Financial Procedures, Travel and Expense Reimbursement Policy. Nothing contained in this Article shall be deemed to alter the present State policy prohibiting reimbursement for noon meals unless the meal is part of an organized meeting or program or overnight travel.

  • FUNERAL EXPENSES The City shall expend a sum of money not to exceed $30,000 for funeral expenses to the heirs of any Unit member who dies while on active duty from injuries incurred while performing his/her job or who dies as a direct cause of such injuries. This amount includes any amount already available for this purpose in accordance with California State Labor Code Section 4701.

  • Compensation Expenses (a) In consideration of the foregoing, the Advisor shall pay the Sub-advisor, with respect to the Fund, a fee as specified in Appendix B hereto. Such fees shall be accrued by the Advisor daily and shall be payable monthly in arrears on the first business day of each calendar month for services performed hereunder during the prior calendar month. If fees begin to accrue in the middle of a month or if this Agreement terminates before the end of any month, all fees for the period from that date to the end of that month or from the beginning of that month to the date of termination, as the case may be, shall be prorated according to the proportion that the period bears to the full month in which the effectiveness or termination occurs. Upon the termination of this Agreement with respect to the Fund, the Advisor shall pay to the Sub-advisor such compensation as shall be payable prior to the effective date of termination.

  • Medical Expenses 1. Employees exposed to hazardous physical, biological, or chemical agents shall be provided, at no cost to the employee, with medical examinations or evaluations required by VOSHA regulations. If there are no specific VOSHA regulations or standards for the agent in question, recommendations of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health or other generally recognized expert organization shall be used, as determined by the Commissioner of Health.
