Long Service Leave. 6.6.1 An Employee shall be (a) Staff who complete ten years continuous service are entitled to 13 weeks paid long service leave on at the completion rate of 10 years continuous service 1.3 weeks per year and a proportionate amount for an additional 13 weeks paid incomplete year. Staff are to make an application for Long Service Leave at least six months prior to taking a period of long service leave for each subsequent period leave. If less than six months notice is given, it is at the supervisor’s discretion to approve the leave. Leave is normally taken in blocks of seven (7) years of continuous service completed by the Employeenot less than four weeks.
