Local Leave. At the request of the Local, the Board shall release Union members with full pay and benefits from their teaching duties up to a total of sixty (60) days per school year, providing replacement is available. The Local shall reimburse the Board at the occasional Teacher rate for the member’s release. The Parties, by mutual agreement, may exceed the sixty (60) day maximum where special circumstances exist. Such exceptions will be 1/194th of salary of the Teacher on leave.
Local Leave. Leave of absence for Union business shall be given without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days during each calendar year, providing adequate notice is given to the Employer and such leave of absence does not interfere with the continuance of efficient operation. During such leave of absence, the employee's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Employer and the Local Union agrees to reimburse the Employer in the amount of the daily rate of the employee. The Employer will xxxx the Local Union within a reasonable period of time.

The Chief Xxxxxxx or their designate shall be granted seven and one half (7.5) hours per month of paid time off to conduct the internal business of the Union [exclusive of all time off referred to elsewhere in the Agreement]. It is understood that the Union will reimburse the employer for the salary paid to a member granted leave under this Article. The Employer will consider covering the cost of wages for time spent by members of the bargaining unit in training programs offered by the Union or its affiliates, if the training program is deemed to be of mutual benefit to the Employer and the Union.
Local Leave. Annual leave may be taken abroad provided due notice is given. During such periods a local leave allowance of £350 will apply provided no other flight/travel costs in rejoining the ship are incurred by FMSB.

EDUCATION Employees who have acquired seniority of one or more years who desire to further their education, may make application for that purpose.
