LIVING AWAY FROM HOME ALLOWANCE. 27.1 For the purpose of this Clause, a “distant project” is one where the location of the “on-site project work” is such that because of its distance or because of the travelling facilities available to and from the location, it is reasonably necessary for an employee to live and sleep at some place other than his/her usual place of residence.

LIVING AWAY FROM HOME ALLOWANCE. 25.12 When Employees are to be engaged on a Project requiring them to live away from home, the provisions of Appendix I will apply in determining their entitlement and the conditions whilst they are living away from home.
LIVING AWAY FROM HOME ALLOWANCE. When employees are to be engaged on Distant Work requiring them to live away from home (refer NBCIA Clause 37) first class accommodation, including full board shall be provided by the employer. LIVING AWAY FROM HOME ALLOWANCE. When the Employee is on a long distance journey and is unable to return home to take the sleep break required by the Driving Hours laws in a 24 hour period and therefore sleeps away from their home, they shall be paid the sum of $31.99. The Employee shall not be entitled to this allowance where the Company provides suitable accommodation. Suitable accommodation includes Company houses and bunk-houses, hotels and motels and any other accommodation away from the truck.
LIVING AWAY FROM HOME ALLOWANCE. 43.9.1 Where an Employee is engaged on the Project and is required to travel a distance from their usual place of residence that is unreasonable to return each day, meets the ATO eligibility criteria and completes the required Employer declaration, the Employer will supply the provision of reasonable board and lodgings, at no cost to the Employee.
LIVING AWAY FROM HOME ALLOWANCE. Where an employee is sent to work at a site that requires an overnight stay, the provisions outlined in Part 2 will apply.
