Line and Grade. 1. The Work shall conform to the lines, elevations, and grades shown on the Plans. Three consecutive points set on the same slope shall be used together so that any variation from a straight grade can be detected. Any such variation shall be reported to the City’s PM. In the absence of such report, the Surveyor shall be responsible for any error in the grade of the Work.
Line and Grade. The new concrete curb and gutter shall be accurately placed in accordance with the line and grade as established by the Engineer. S-22.4 Removal and Replacement Excavation, removal of concrete, concrete curbing, sidewalks, pavement material, or any other items required to be removed for the completion of this project shall be removed from the construction site and disposed of by the Contractor. The concrete curb shall be sawed at each end of the section of curb to be removed. The Contractor will be responsible for all damage to the curb and gutter resulting from his operations beyond the limits marked repair all such damages, at no additional cost. The sub-grade area between the removed pavement and in front of the new curb shall be compacted as required by the Engineer and specifications, but not less than Type AA (MR-5), clean of any foreign material, and moistened prior to placing concrete. If additional fill is required for subgrade, aggregate designated, as AB-3 shall be used in accordance with Section 1104 of the Standard Specifications, or as approved by the Engineer, and 95% compacted. The Contractor shall have available adequate hand or mechanical compaction equipment to accomplish the compaction as set forth in these Specifications. Concrete, as a base material shall be replaced in front of the curb and shall be in place five days, or shall have obtained 70% design strength prior to placement of asphalt surface. The concrete shall be left below the existing surface by the surface thickness, and an asphaltic concrete surface shall be placed over the concrete and compacted. The surface shall be BM-2 unless otherwise specified in the plans. Concrete and asphalt in front of the new curb shall not be paid for directly but shall be subsidiary to other bid items in the contract

The Contractor shall not deviate more than 1/2-inch for line and 1/4-inch for grade from the line design and design grade established by the Engineer provided that such variation does not result in a level or a reverse sloping invert. He shall measure the grade at the pipe invert and not at the top of the pipe. The Contractor shall furnish, set and control the line and grade by laser beam method. Other methods of controlling line and grade may be submitted to the Engineer for approval if using the laser beam method proves to be impractical because of other conditions.

  • Copper Subloops Sprint will make available access to copper subloops on an unbundled basis. A copper subloop is a portion of a Copper Loop, or Hybrid Loop, and is comprised entirely of copper wire or copper cable that acts as a transmission facility between any accessible terminal in Sprint’s outside plant, including inside wire owned or controlled by Sprint, and the end-user customer premises. A copper subloop can also include intermediate devices, such as repeaters, used to establish the transmission path. Copper subloops can be used by CLEC to provide voice-grade services as well as digital subscriber line services. Access to copper subloops is subject to the collocation provisions of this Agreement. Copper subloop consists of the distribution portion of the copper loop. Sprint is not obligated to offer feeder loop plant as a stand-alone UNE.

  • SUBLOOPS 45.1. Sprint will offer unbundled access to copper subloops and subloops for access to multiunit premises wiring. Sprint will consider all requests for access to subloops through the ICB process due to the wide variety of interconnections available and the lack of standards. A written response will be provided to CLEC covering the interconnection time intervals, prices and other information based on the ICB process as set forth in this Agreement.

  • Tests, Labs, and Imaging and X rays (diagnostic) This plan covers diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging and x-rays to diagnose or treat a condition when ordered by a physician. Major Diagnostic Imaging and Tests Major diagnostic imaging and tests include but are not limited to: • magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), • magnetic resonance angiography (MRA), • computerized axial tomography (CAT or CT scans), • nuclear scans, • positron emission tomography (PET scan), and • cardiac imaging. Preauthorization may be required for major diagnostic imaging and tests. This plan covers MRI examinations when the quality assurance standards of R.I. General Law §27-20-41 are met. MRI examinations conducted outside of the State of Rhode Island must be performed in accordance with the applicable laws of the state in which the examination has been conducted. Diagnostic Imaging and X-rays (other than the imaging services noted above) Diagnostic imaging and x-rays include but are not limited to: • general imaging (such as x-rays and ultrasounds), and • mammograms.

  • Packaging and Shipment All articles are to be packed in accordance with sound commercial practices to obtain the lowest transportation rates unless otherwise specified in the NETAPP purchase order and comply with requirements of common carriers. Shipments will be valued so as to obtain the lowest transportation rate and must be made by NETAPP's choice of common carrier if specified in the purchase order. Transportation insurance for loss or damage will not be purchased by NETAPP unless specifically directed. Excess transportation costs resulting from failure to comply with the provisions of this paragraph will be debited to Seller's account. Unless otherwise specified in the NETAPP purchase order, packaging must conform to NETAPP's specifications and should be constructed for handling with a mechanical device. A complete packing list specifying NETAPPs applicable purchase order number, quantity of Goods shipped, and part number shall be enclosed with all shipments hereunder. Seller shall mark each container with necessary lifting, loading and shipping information, including the NETAPP purchase order number, date of shipment, and name and address of consignor and consignee. Seller shall bear the expense of any premium transportation charges unless otherwise agreed. Prepaid transportation charges appearing on Xxxxxx's invoice must be supported by a paid freight bill and bill of lading.
