Common use of Limitation on Authority Clause in Contracts

Limitation on Authority. A. The authority granted to Performing Agency by the System Agency is limited to the terms of the Contract. Performing Agency shall not have any authority under the Contract to act for or on behalf of the System Agency except as expressly provided for in the Contract; no other authority, power, or use is granted or implied. Performing Agency may not incur any debt, obligation, expense, or liability of any kind on behalf of System Agency.
