LIGHT FITTINGS. As per Development range.
LIGHT FITTINGS. Light fixture shall be fixed in a sturdy and safe manner as per best trade practice and according to the instructions of the manufacturers. Lights should be suspended from the ceiling , mounted on wall as per BOQ and as advised by engineer in charge. Down rods for lights shall be in single length, no joint shall be permitted.
LIGHT FITTINGS. 17.1 Light fitting shall be all as specified in BOQ S(ch `A’). The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include for fixing the fittings and connecting up complete with necessary connectors cable etc. all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Particular attention is drawn to the neatness in appearance, which is to be achieved by judicious location of light fittings and main controls etc.

LIGHT FITTINGS. Scope The Contractor shall supply and install in all the poles and lightfittings in the positions as indicated on the drawings. Ballasts and control gear for light fittings shall be of SABS standard. All fittings and appliances shall be drawn from new stock and delivered to the site unpacked. The engineer will reject any fitting which differs from those specified in this document. The electrical contractor shall furnish the engineer with a written unconditional guarantee against defect in material of manufacture for a period of 12 calendar months from the date of putting the installation into service, in respect of all fluorescent light fittings supplied and installed by him under his contract. Should any such fitting or part thereof fail during this guarantee period, the electrical contractor shall be liable for its immediate replacement at his own expense. It shall be the responsibility of the electrical contractor to order such appliances with sufficient lag time to ensure that the delivery thereof does not delay the contract in any way. Only high power factor ballasts are to be used. All light fittings shall be complete with lamps, ballasts, chokes and all other accessories required to make the fitting fully operative. All light fittings shall be equipped with an earth terminal and shall be properly earthed. Each respective lamp pole shall have its own MCCB rated to protect the smaller inside wiring to the luminaire.

LIGHT FITTINGS maintenance and, where necessary, replacement of light fittings located more than 2 metres above floor level. The Council will be entitled at their discretion whilst acting reasonably to alter the frequency of all or any of the cyclical inspection and maintenance at any time during the currency of the lease. The Council will also be responsible for the maintenance and repair of external signage at the premises required as a result of any act of vandalism except where the act of vandalism is carried out by a party connected with the premises or participating in any event or activity taking place within the premises or otherwise attending at the premises. . In the event the Council decide any repairsor maintenance for which they are responsible in terms of this clause to be uneconomic (which decision, having considered all funding options including funding from the Association, shall be entirely at the sole discretion of the Communities, Housing and Infrastructure Committee of the Council) the Council shall advise the Association in writing following which either party shall be entitled to bring the lease to an end by giving the other party no less than six months prior written notice.
