Liability and Security. Exhibitors must make provisions for safeguarding their display and property at all times. The exhibitor is responsible for all liability, losses, claims, and damages relating to any injury, death, or damage to property (including the Exhibition Hall), however occurring, arising from the acts of the exhibitor, his or her employees, agents, licensees, or contractors. The exhibitor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the British Columbia Nurse Practitioner Association (BCNPA) and the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort & Confrence Centre, from and against any and all liability, losses, claims, and damages that may arise from or be asserted in connection with the foregoing undertaking and responsibilities of the exhibitor.

Neither AOCS, its service contractors, the venue, nor any of the offi- cers, staff members, or directors of any of the same are responsible for the safety of the property of exhibitors from theft, damage by fire, acci- dent, vandalism, or other causes, and the exhibitor expressly waives and releases any claim or demand he may have against any of them by rea- son of any damage to or loss of any property of the exhibitor. A require- ment of exhibiting at the Congress is that all exhibitors must carry liability insurance throughout the Exhibition, with a limit of not less than US $1,000,000 per occurrence. If a liability claim occurs against Exhibitor and AOCS, Exhibitor will be responsible for Exhibitor’s legal defense, and poten- tially for paying a claim brought against Exhibitor. Exhibitors must verify and present proper insurance when requested to do so. Certificates indicating adequate insurance coverage are to be provided to AOCS by July 31, 2019. Liability and Security. You shall give us prompt notice in writing of any defect, dangerous condition, and/or hazard of any kind whatsoever found on the Premises. You should make your own determination as to the security of the parking lot, common areas, the doors, locks, window locks, etc. You have the responsibility to protect yourself and to maintain appropriate insurance to protect you and your belongings. You shall keep all exit and entry doors locked. At least once per week, please verify your smoke and fire detector(s) are operating properly, and contact us immediately if it is not operating properly or if you need our assistance to check it. You acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree with the above notice. You have received no representations or warranties, either expressed or implied, as to the overall safety of the complex and/or any security system at the complex. We have not stated or implied to you that the security of person or property is provided, promised or guaranteed, or that the complex is or will be free from crime.
