Length of Leave and Compensation. The length of the retraining leave will be determined by the specific approved retraining plan. Employees released from all or part of their normal assignment for the purpose of retraining shall earn pay and benefits as though they were working their normal assignment. The compensation shall be paid the employee while on leave in the same manner as if the employee were teaching in the District.
Length of Leave and Compensation. Study leaves may be granted for a period of ninety (90) working days or less. Compensation shall be the difference between the salary of the person on leave and the rate for Substitute Teacher - Regular. Administrative/Support Staff employees on study leave of absence are eligible to retain fringe benefits by paying necessary premiums to the Marin County Office of Education.
