Leave Without Pay Exceeding 30 Days. When leave of absence without pay is for thirty one (31) consecutive calendar days or more, no sick leave credits or annual vacation credits will be accumulated for the entire period of absence and a new increment date will be established, except in the instances of maternity, adoption and parental leave, where the Employee shall maintain her increment date for up to twelve (12) months while on Leave. For other than full-time Employees, their increment date shall be maintained on a pro rata basis calculated on their paid hours over the previous fifty-two

  • Leave Without Pay An employee shall not be entitled to payment for a public holiday falling during a period of leave without pay (including sick leave and military leave without pay) unless the employee has worked during the fortnight ending on the day on which the holiday is observed.
