Leave not Deducted from Sick Leave. Leaves for critical illness and death in the family shall be with pay and shall not be deducted from the employee’s sick leave. The District reserves the right to require proof of critical illness or death. Employees will be allowed to use vacation days in conjunction with the paid leave of absence for a death or critical illness of a family member.
