LEAVE FOR THE BIRTH OR ADOPTION OF A CHILD. Each staff member, male or female, may choose one of the following options for leave following the birth or adoption of a child and will notify the District Human Resources Department as to which option they are choosing:

LEAVE FOR THE BIRTH OR ADOPTION OF A CHILD. The District shall grant leave as required by Oregon and Federal law for the birth or adoption of a child. The District shall grant leave before or after the birth or adoption of a young child which shall include any parental leave taken by the unit member under the terms of Oregon and Federal law. (See Section 9.4.)
LEAVE FOR THE BIRTH OR ADOPTION OF A CHILD. 4.4.1 DITR employees are entitled to maternity leave in accordance with the Maternity Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Act 1973. In addition to any paid maternity leave entitlement, employees will also be entitled to 2 weeks additional paid leave. Employees may elect to have their salary payments spread over a period of no more than 52 weeks. In this case, employees would receive a reduced rate of payment. Paid leave to a maximum of 14 weeks will count for service for all purposes.

  • Repayment of Qualified Birth or Adoption Distribution If you have taken a qualified birth or adoption distribution, you may generally repay all or a portion of the aggregate amount of such distribution to an IRA, as permitted by the IRS. For further information, you may wish to obtain IRS Publication 590-A, Contributions to Individual Retirement Arrangements (IRAs), by visiting xxx.xxx.xxx on the Internet.

  • Leave for Birth of Child On the occasion of the birth of his child, a male employee shall be granted special leave with pay up to a maximum of one (1) day during the confinement of the mother. This leave may be divided into two (2) periods and granted on separate days.

  • How to Add or Remove Coverage for Family Members If your plan offers family coverage, you must notify your employer if you want to add or remove family members according to the Special Enrollment provisions described above. When adding or removing a family member, inform your employer in advance of the requested effective date and your employer will notify us. All requests must be made through your employer. We cannot directly add or remove coverage for you or your family members.

  • Unpaid Leave for Family Purpose a. An employee may elect, with the consent of the employer, to take unpaid leave for the purpose of providing care and support to a member of a class of person set out in sub-paragraph (ii) or paragraph (c) of sub-clause (1) who is ill.

  • Definition of a Grievance A grievance is defined as a dispute or disagreement as to the interpretation or application of the specific terms and conditions of this Agreement.

  • Determination of Service for Sick Leave with Pay Actual time worked and all leave with pay, except for educational leave, shall be included in determining the pro rata accrual of sick leave credits each month, provided that the employee works thirty-two (32) hours or more in that month.

  • Notification of Absence To be entitled to payment in accordance with this clause the employee shall meet the following criteria;

  • Leave of Absence for College Committees An employee whose assigned work schedule would prevent her/him from attending meetings of a college committee to which s/he has been elected or appointed, will be granted a leave of absence from her/his regular duties without loss of pay or other entitlements to attend such meeting(s). Where such leave is granted, the employer will replace the employee as necessary. Costs arising from this provision will not be charged against the program area of the participating employee.

  • Termination or Suspension of Service We may suspend or terminate your access to or use of any or all of our services at any time without cause in our sole discretion. We may immediately suspend your use of our services if you breach this or any other agreement with us or we have reason to believe there has been or may be an unauthorized use of your account.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.
