The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence, without pay, to nurses selected by the Association to attend Association business including conferences, conventions and Provincial Committee meetings. During such leave of absence, the nurse's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. It is understood, however, that during such leave the nurse shall be deemed to be an employee of the Ontario Nurses' Association. Leave for Association Business. The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence, without pay, to nurses selected by the Association to attend Association business including conferences, conventions and Provincial Committee meetings. The cumulative total leave of absence, the amount of o notice, the number of nurses that may be absent at any one time and from any any- one area and the number of days is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions, During local such leave of absence, a the nurse's salary and applicable benefits or percentage in lieu of fringe e benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital spital and the local Association agrees to reimbursethe e Hospital in the amount of the daily rate of the full-time nurse or in the amount of the full cost of such salary and percentage in lieu of fringe benefits of a part-time nurse except t for Provincial Committee meetings which will ill be reimbursed by the .the Association. The Hospital will bill the e local Association within a reasonable le period of time. Part-time nurses will receiveservice and seniority credit for all leaves granted under this Article. Leave, Board of Directors A nurse who is elected to the Board of Directors of the Ontario Nurses' Association, other than to the office of President, shall be granted upon request such of absence as she or he e may require to fulfill the duties of the position. Reasonable notice sufficient to adequately allow the Hospitalto to minimize disruption of its services shall be given to the Hospital for such leave of absence. NotwithstandingArticle Article there shall be no .no loss of seniority or service for a nurse during such leave of absence. Leave of absence under this provision shall be in addition to the Association leave provided in Article I above.
