Leave Day. Employees covered herein who, as a result of their assignment, are required to be absent from Los Angeles County for a period of twenty-five (25) consecutive calendar days or more shall receive one-half (½) day leave at regular pay, for each weekend spent out of Los Angeles County as a result of their assignment, subject to a limit of eight (8) days per employee per fiscal year. In addition, employees absent from Los Angeles County for a period of thirty-five (35) consecutive calendar days or more shall receive an additional one (1) full day leave at regular pay.

Annual Leave Entitlements and Payment payment of these A shift worker for the purposes of this Schedule is an employee who is required to work regularly outside the hours of 5.00am and 6.00pm – i.e. they are in receipt of a shift loading for all shifts worked on Monday – Friday. All Transport and Distribution Employees will receive a maximum of five (5) weeks paid leave per annum, calculated based on Ordinary Time Hours per fortnight. Annual leave will accrue for Employees at the rate of five (5) weeks’ paid leave per annum, calculated based on Ordinary Time Hours per fortnight. A Leave Day will be paid for each day of Annual Leave taken. Employees who receive payment of a B-Double or Section Leader allowance for all hours worked will also receive payment of these allowances. A lump sum payment to a maximum set out below, based on a 45 hour week, will be paid in the first full pay period in December, or by no later than 20th December each year in lieu of annual leave loading to all Employees employed as at 1st December. A pro rata payment will be made to employees with less than 12 months’ service as at 1st December. Calculations of each Employee's payment will be based on the proportion of Full-Time Ordinary Hours worked by the employee in the previous 12 months. Leave Day. “Leave day” shall be defined as the number of hours an employee is regularly scheduled to work per day.
Leave Day. One (1) additional vacation day will be added to employee vacation banks in the first full pay period of 2017. Eligibility for this additional leave, rules relating to usage, and the process for awarding the additional Leave Day are all outlined in the paragraph addressing January 1, 2018, below.
Leave Day. A. At the start of each new school year, each teacher having one (1) or more years of employment with the District shall be credited with twelve (12) leave days. Teachers with less than one (1) year shall be credited with one (1) day per month starting with the first work day of the year. Leave days may be used by staff in increments of no more than three (3) consecutive work days without the notification of the administrative staff. Leave day usage that will consist of four (4) or more consecutive work days will require administrative approval at least two (2) days in advance of the first requested day off. The superintendent may waive the requirement in case of an emergency. At the end of each school year, unused Leave Days will be credited to the teacher's accumulated sick days and may only be used as sick days.

  • Leave Days 1. Each full-time teacher employed under regular contract shall be entitled to an annual allotment of thirteen (13) leave days. Such allotment shall be credited the first day of each school year and unused days shall be accumulated as sick leave to a total of one hundred eighty-two and one half (182.5) days. The teacher’s accumulated sick days may be used following use of 13 days and a doctor’s note with approval by Superintendent. Certificated staff with an accumulation of 182.5 days of accumulated sick leave shall be compensated at the end of each school year at the rate of the current daily certified substitute pay per each unused day above the 182.5 day accumulation. Such payments shall be made in July of each year. This money shall be placed in the teacher’s 403(b). If school corporation revenue in the Education Fund exceeds expenditures in the calendar year by an amount between $6,000 and $24,000, then the amount of that excess (minus compensation pay), not to exceed $18,000, shall be made available to fund a buyback of unused accumulated sick leave days on the following terms: Teachers shall have the option of selling up to ten (10) days, per round, of unused accumulated sick leave back to the school corporation at the daily rate of pay for a certified substitute teacher. This option will be offered to teachers in accordance with their seniority (total years of continuous service at Western Xxxxx) in the school corporation, with the teacher with the most seniority having priority to exercise the option, and it shall be available only to the extent of the total amount of money available as set forth above. Payment for these days shall be deposited in the individual teacher’s 403(b) plan, and upon payment those sick leave days shall no longer be available to the selling teacher. Said days must have been earned while the teacher has been employed in the school corporation. To participate in the program a teacher must maintain at all times a minimum balance of one hundred (100) days of accumulated sick leave. This method shall continue in successive rounds until the available money remaining less than daily rate of pay for a certified substitute teacher. If more money is available to the school corporation than is needed to fund the buy-backs exercised under this program, the school corporation may retain such money in its Education Fund. After selling a cumulative amount of eighty (80) days, teachers will receive a guaranteed buyback of any leave days over one hundred (100) remaining at the end of each school year.

  • Leave Year The leave year begins with the first full payroll period of a calendar year and ends with the payroll period in which December 31st falls.

  • Sick Leave Days Subject to paragraphs d) i-vi below, permanent full-time Teachers will be allocated eleven (11) sick days at one hundred percent (100%) salary in each school year. Teachers who are less than full-time shall have their sick leave allocation pro-rated.

  • LEAVE OF ABSENCE With respect to the Award, the Company may, in its sole discretion, determine that if you are on leave of absence for any reason you will not be considered as having terminated employment with the Company; however, your rights to the Restricted Stock Units during a leave of absence will be limited to the extent to which those rights were earned or vested when the leave of absence began.

  • Extended Leave of Absence Professional employees who have attained renewable contract status may request extended leaves of absence for one (1) year without pay under any one of the circumstances listed in this section. All requests for such extended leave of absence will be applied for and granted or rejected in writing. Such application will be reviewed by the principal and superintendent. If the latter approves, he/she will recommend that the leave be granted by the Board. An employee returning from an extended leave will be assigned to the same position as that which he/she held before assuming the leave, providing that position still exists. By mutual agreement between the employer and the employees, he/she may be given a different assignment. Extended leaves of absence may be requested under, but not limited to, the following:

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.

  • Leave Pay A. Fifteen (15) days of sick leave shall be credited to a school year employee after reporting for their first day of work. All unused sick leave and personal leave days from the current year will be added to the bank of sick days for the following year. All unused sick leave days in excess of ninety (90) days shall be returned to the employee at the end of the current school year on the basis of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day.

  • Leave of Absences A leave of absence, subject to the College’s discretion may be granted for a minimum of one term’s absence. All requests for a planned leave of absence from the College, for one term or more, must be submitted in writing to the relevant Head of School for approval at least one full term in advance of the commencement of the leave. The request must include the proposed dates of absence and the reason for the absence. The request can be granted only where all Tuition Fees and Charges and any other amounts owing to the College at the time of the request have been paid in full. For an approved leave of absence, 30% of the applicable Tuition Fees will be charged in advance as a holding fee to guarantee re-entry. This is non-refundable and not offset against future Tuition Fees. In addition to the holding fee, the notebook payout fee will be charged to your Family Account. During a leave of absence, the Student will be provided with a broad outline of the curriculum. A leave of absence will not be considered, nor will Tuition Fees or Charges be refunded where schoolwork is still provided, assessed and supervised and/or reports submitted. On a Student’s final day prior to commencing a leave of absence, any College issued device must be returned to the Centre for Computing and Communications (CCC). Should the parent(s) elect to retain the device throughout the leave of absence period, approval must be granted by the Principal. Upon approval, the full payout fee for the device will be charged.

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • SICK LEAVE OF ABSENCE 25.01 Employees, who are permitted to go home due to non- occupational illness or injury, will not be paid for the remainder of their shift.
