Lead Hand. A lead hand is a working employee designated by the Company, who is able and willing to direct and instruct others in the performance of their work. The Union will recognize Lead Hands as supervisory assistants. However, Lead Hands shall not have the right to hire, promote, demote, suspend, discharge or lay off bargaining unit employees.
