Lane Changes. Lane changes shall be effective the beginning of the first payroll period following the submission of documentary evidence of advanced training by the employee. When requesting a lane change, the employee agrees to note on the lane change request form the criterion or criteria listed in Section 7, Subdivision A (1) and/or (2) of this Article under which such request is being made. The Appointing Authority agrees to respond in a timely manner to an employee's request for a lane change and, when such request is denied, to inform the employee, on the lane change request form, the reason(s) for such denial. The form for lane change requests is found in Appendix E.

Lane Changes. Any certified personnel who achieve a higher salary lane shall receive the contracted compensation as of the print date on the new teaching certificate. The new certificate must be received by the Superintendent’s office within 10 working days of the print date.

Lane Changes. The training level of the teacher as of September 15 will be the basis of pay for that school year except eligible credits submitted by February 1 shall be counted in determining the basis of pay for the second semester. Applications for a salary adjustment due to a change in the training level of a teacher shall be made to the superintendent by the submission of a transcript prior to September 15 for the first semester and prior to February 1 for the second semester adjustment. If a transcript is not available by these dates, other satisfactory evidence of the completion of a course will be recognized pending the receipt of the official transcript. However, the salary adjustment, retroactive to the start of the semester, shall not be made until the official transcript is received.
Lane Changes. If a teacher completes the requirements for a degree or earns sufficient semester-hour credits, the teacher may move from one salary lane to the next salary lane. Official transcripts issued by the college/university registrar must be submitted to the Human Resources Department on or before the following dates: October 10 March 10 June 10 All submissions will be effective the month immediately prior to the submission when official transcripts are provided to the human resources department by the identified date. Submissions received after the identified dates shall become effective on the following eligible date. A written application for adjustment and the supporting documents as required above must be filed with the Superintendent or designee before salary adjustments will be made. When a teacher completes the requirements for a new lane assignment, the teacher will move across the salary schedule to the same step in the new lane. Commencing with the 1990-91 school year, in order to receive credit on the salary schedule, any credit submitted must carry a grade of “B” or better. Pass/fail credits will not be accepted after June 30, 1989 except when a practicum or internship course is required to complete a degree or licensure program. If a course is offered for either a grade or pass/fail, it must be taken for a grade.
Lane Changes. Changes in the education factor may be made three (3) times a year. The first adjustment will be made effective July 1, provided the principal submits satisfactory evidence of successful course completion no later than September 1. The second adjustment will be effective February 1, provided the principal submits satisfactory evidence of successful course completion by February 1. The third adjustment will be effective April 1, provided the principal submits satisfactory evidence of successful course completion by April 1. Changes in the education level shall be approved only upon the submission of an official transcript, although other satisfactory evidence of successful course completion may be submitted pending receipt of the official transcript. However, a salary adjustment shall not be made until the official transcript is received, at which time the adjustment shall be retroactive to July 1, February 1, or April 1.
