Landscape and Visual Sample Clauses

Landscape and Visual. The pilot demonstration advanced treatment plant and the associated facilities would all be located within the boundary of the SWHSTW at an open space in the North- western corner with a footprint of about 150 m2. The alignment of the distribution piping would be along existing footpath/roads. In view of the small scale and the temporary nature of the works, landscape and visual impacts will be small, localised and short-term. No tree felling is expected for this project.

Landscape and Visual. 4.2.7 Potential landscape and visual sensitive receivers would include, but not limited to the followings: Landscape Resources and Characters  Inshore water landscape between Tuen Mun and HKIA; and  Island landscape at Tai Mo To. Visual Sensitive Receivers  Workers and visitors on northeast part of HKIA;  Workers, officers and visitors on HKBCF;  Users and workers of the proposed Lantau Logistics Park and MTR Xxx Xx Wan Depot;  North Lantau Highway and Depot;  Residents in Xxxx Xxxxx New Town;  Travellers along North Lantau Highway, MTR Xxxx Xxxxx Line and Airport Express Line, the future TM-CLKL and HKLR;  Hikers of Lantau North Country Park;  Visitors on Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car;  Users of major parks, open spaces and waterfront promenade;  Villages in Xxx Xx; and  Hikers at Xxx Xx. 5 Environmental Mitigation Measures to be Incorporated in the Design and any further Environmental Implications

Landscape and Visual. 3.1.5.1. A few trees in the vicinity of the site might be affected by the proposed works. In addition, potential landscape and visual impacts during the construction phase may arise from the construction plant and materials, spoil heaps, site traffic and on-site lighting.
Landscape and Visual. 3.2.5.1. A few existing trees might be affected by the Project. The superstructure of the pumping station may generate landscape and visual impacts. By adopting proper mitigation measures such as dedicated landscape design to match with the exiting environment, compensatory planting, etc., the residual landscape and visual impact would be minimal as anticipated.

Landscape and Visual. 5.5.1 The trees in the vicinity of the Project site are of common species and no endangered species have been identified. Tree protection measures and transplanting, if necessary, would be adopted as far as practicable to prevent damage to existing trees during the construction phase. Proposals for tree felling, if necessary, will be submitted to District Lands Officer/Sha Tin and other relevant authorities for approval. The potential impacts from the construction plant, site traffic, etc would be minimized by erection of temporary hoarding. Spoil heaps and C&D materials would be removed off site promptly.
Landscape and Visual. Temporary hoarding would be erected along the toe of the works site to screen the proposed landslip preventive works. Part of the current vegetation cover on the slope surface of the Designated Project would be removed and replaced by sprayed concrete with colour paints and planter holes to reduce visual impacts. In addition, hydroseeding with shrub mix and planting of whip at the slope crest and the southern slope portion are proposed to compensate the vegetation clearance there. Approximate area for compensatory planting is 1200 m2. No tree felling would be required and no removal of the plant species of conservation interest would also be required. The protective measures for the existing trees and the plants are mentioned in Section 5.5 above. The visual impact of the maintenance staircases would be minimized by providing colour paints to blend with the surro unding environments. An outline of the landscape mitigation proposal is presented in Figure 3 and Table 5.1 below.
Landscape and Visual. Landscape Impact Given its nature and scale, the reclamation proposal would inevitably involve permanent loss of water bodies and natural seafront environment in LKT area. The physical loss of those natural resources will lead to changes on the existing landscape character, changing from a rural coastal plain landscape setting to an urban landscape area. Whilst the residual landscape impact on open seawater, inshore marine water, beaches and inshore water landscape cannot be fully mitigated, there are plenty of room to provide open space and green channels on the reclamation area, which may be considered beneficial to the local community. Visual Impact The existing visual character is dominated by the industrial facilities / operations. Thus, the visual quality of LKT area is considered of low value. Nonetheless, the new buildings on the reclamation area, depending on height and massing, may result in loss of sea view to some of the visual receivers, particularly in LKST and Sha Po Kong. The building height of the future development should be limited to below the ridgeline of the surrounding hillslopes and key vantage points. Stepped building height profile descending from the hillslopes to the waterfront should be considered in response to the topographical setting. This would allow the future development to be better integrated with the natural surrounding and the existing built-up environment, and would also help optimise the wind capturing capacity of the future development. Preliminary visual assessment was carried out, and the visual impact to the sensitive receivers is considered to be moderate after mitigation.
